It is important to make sure you are using reputable websites who publish accurate information. Most media outlets also have a bias, and it's important to understand what this is and how it affects what they say. The easiest way to check both of these things is to Google the name of the website and look for a Wikipedia article that states the bias and accuracy of a website, or search for the website using a tool like Media Bias/Fact Check. - Sweetsearch is a good search engine to use for this topic. It's a search engine designed to find results most relevant to students, and will bypass the many pages of school discipline policies that Google will find.
- Be specific- think of an aspect of discipline that you want to focus on and search for that.
- Try searching for schools and discipline and add different keywords (eg. 'innovation', 'methods', 'results') to see how the search results change- some keywords will find more positive articles, some will find more negative articles, and some will find more academic articles etc. You could also try searching for the keyword 'punishment' instead of 'discipline'.
