Where to find books online
There are plenty of places you can get free ebooks and audiobooks online. Here are five of them.
1. Inaburra eLibrary - We have instructions for using it, if you're not sure how to log in. 2. Sutherland Shire eLibrary - Are you a member of Sutherland Shire Library? You can borrow their ebooks, audiobooks and digital magazines too. 3. Project Gutenberg - These are ebooks (and some audiobooks) that are out of copyright, so this is a great place to find classics like Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte and more. 4. LibriVox - These are audiobooks of books that are out of copyright. 5. OpenCulture - Freely available ebooks, audiobooks, online courses, movies, and more. A fantastic place to while away a few hours. (or days!) |
There are also a lot of places you can buy ebooks and audiobooks, which means you'll be able to have digital copies of new books which won't disappear from your device after two weeks. Great if you're a slower reader or if you love the book and want to read it over and over. Here are four:
5. Audible - You can get one audiobook for free before the subscription cost kicks in. Your parents might even have a subscription already. 8. Google Play - eBooks, audiobooks, and comic books. 9. If you have a Kindle you'll already know about Amazon's ebooks for Kindles, and they also sell audiobooks. 10. Or maybe you have a Kobo eReader and get your eBooks from Kobo. They also have audiobooks. |
