Here is some advice to help you to find a good source:
- Only use websites that provide the provenance information (eg. who made the source, when, why, where the website got it etc).
- If you're looking for written sources, don't just use a website with a list of quotes because you don't know for sure whether they're genuine or not. Make sure you use websites that give provenance information (see the point above).
- Make sure the source you are using is definitely a primary source and not something that was written by a modern historian.
- Sweetsearch is a better website than Google for this task; it is designed to give results that are more relevant for schoolwork.
- Try using the skills in the graphic below if you need to.
